Abstract:
(EN) A method for calibrating dark field microcopy setup is disclosed. The method includes preparing a plurality of particle samples, each with a known concentration and particle size, the plurality having more than one particle size and, optionally, more than one refractive index and more than one diluent. For each sample in the plurality, the sample is measured in the setup and the scattered light intensity and number of particles is measured. From this data, a relationship between the scattered light intensity, particle size and calibrated investigated volume can be determined. The calibrated investigated volume is used to obtain the proper particle size distribution in a given diluent.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé d’étalonnage de système de microcopie sur fond noir. Le procédé comprend la préparation d’une pluralité d’échantillons de particules, chacun ayant une concentration et une taille de particule connues, la pluralité ayant plus d’une taille de particule et, facultativement, plus d’un indice de réfraction et plus d’un diluant. Pour chaque échantillon dans la pluralité, l’échantillon est mesuré dans le système et l’intensité de lumière dispersée et le nombre de particules sont mesurés. À partir de ces données, une relation entre l’intensité de lumière diffusée, la taille de particule et le volume d’examen étalonné peuvent être déterminé. Le volume d’examen étalonné est utilisé pour obtenir la granulométrie appropriée des particules dans un diluant donné.
