Abstract:
(EN) A payment terminal can have a near field communication (NFC) circuit to permit the payment terminal to accept an NFC payment transaction from a payment device of a customer. The NFC circuit can have a first set of components that are located on a printed circuit board in the base of the payment terminal and a second set of components that are mounted on a flex circuit in another region of the payment terminal. The flex circuit can be coupled to the printed circuit board and have an extended portion with a plurality of traces to communicate transmit and receive data between the first set of components and the second set of components. The plurality of traces on the extended portion can have a predetermined length that is greater than or equal to 2.5% of the propagation-medium-specific wavelength of the carrier signal communicated over the traces.
(FR) L'invention concerne un terminal de paiement pouvant comprendre un circuit de communication en champ proche (CCP) pour permettre au terminal de paiement d'accepter une transaction de paiement CCP à partir d'un dispositif de paiement d'un client. Le circuit CCP peut comprendre un premier ensemble de composants placés sur une carte de circuit imprimé dans la base du terminal de paiement, et un second ensemble de composants montés sur un circuit souple dans une autre région du terminal de paiement.
