A subaxillary traction device (10) having an elongated body portion (11) with a first end (12) and a second end (13), at least one receptacle member (14A) disposed on the first end (12) defining a cavity (15A) to receive a fingertip, a handle opening (16A) disposed adjacent or near the first end (12) and a handle opening (16B) disposed adjacent or near the second end (13), the handle openings (16A/) being of sufficient size to receive at least one finger there through, whereby the body portion (11) is positionable under the posterior axilla of a fetus experiencing shoulder dystocia such that traction may be applied allowing delivery of the posterior arm affecting the safe delivery of the baby.

Un dispositif de traction sous-axillaire (10) ayant une partie corps allongée (11) avec une première extrémité (12) et une seconde extrémité (13), au moins un élément réceptacle (14A) disposé sur la première extrémité (12) définissant une cavité (15A) pour recevoir un bout de doigt, une ouverture de poignée (16A) disposée adjacente ou à proximité de la première extrémité (12) et une ouverture de poignée (16B) disposée adjacente ou à proximité de la seconde extrémité (13), les ouvertures de poignée (16A/) étant de taille suffisante pour recevoir au moins un doigt à travers, moyennant quoi la partie corps (11) peut être positionnée sous l'aisselle postérieure d'un foetus souffrant de dystocie de l'épaule, de sorte que la traction puisse être appliquée, ce qui permet la délivrance du bras postérieur influant sur la délivrance sécurisée du bébé.
