Abstract:
(EN) Rubber compositions, rubber articles and methods for making such rubber articles that include a rubber composition having, per 100 parts by weight of rubber (phr), a modified rubber component such as an epoxidized rubber component selected from an epoxidized polybutadiene rubber (eBR), an epoxidized styrene-butadiene rubber (eSBR), or combinations thereof having a Tg of between -80 °C and -110 °C as well as a second rubber component selected from the group consisting of a polybutadiene rubber (BR), a styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and combinations thereof. Also between 30 phr and 130 phr of an efficient plasticizing resin may be included. An efficient plasticizing resin is one that when included in a mixture of the modified rubber component and 67 phr of the efficient plasticizing resin, causes a Tg of the mixture to be at least 14 °C higher than the Tg of the modified rubber component itself.
(FR) L’invention concerne des compositions de caoutchouc, des articles en caoutchouc et des procédés de fabrication de tels articles en caoutchouc qui comprennent une composition de caoutchouc ayant, pour 100 parties en poids de caoutchouc (phr), un composant caoutchouc modifié tel qu'un composant caoutchouc époxydé choisi parmi un caoutchouc polybutadiène époxydé (eBR), un caoutchouc styrène-butadiène époxydé (eSBR), ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci ayant une Tg comprise entre -80 °C et -110 °C ainsi qu'un second composant de caoutchouc choisi dans le groupe constitué par un caoutchouc polybutadiène (BR), un caoutchouc styrène-butadiène (SBR) et des combinaisons de ceux-ci. Il est également possible d'inclure entre 30 et 130 phr d'une résine plastifiante efficace. Une résine plastifiante efficace est une résine qui lorsqu'elle est incluse dans un mélange du constituant caoutchouteux modifié et de 67 phr de la résine plastifiante efficace, génère une Tg du mélange au moins 14°C supérieure à la Tg du constituant caoutchouteux modifié lui-même.
