Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus aramid fibers which has bi-elastic tensile properties. Such a novel bi-elastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
(FR) L'invention concerne un nouveau renfort de câblé de pneu constitué de fibres d'aramide à module ultra-élevé, qui présente des propriétés de traction bi-élastiques. Un tel câblé de pneu bi-élastique améliore la durabilité à grande vitesse et élimine l'aplanissement lorsqu'il est utilisé comme nappe sommet dans des pneus radiaux.
