The present invention relates to a combined fingerprint sensing and body area network communication system for communication with an electronic unit using the body of a user as communication medium, comprising: a sensing arrangement and a body area network communication circuitry. The system is controllable between: a fingerprint sensing state, in which a first signal corresponding to the finger potential is provided to a connection electrode and a readout circuitry is controlled to provide sensing signals indicative of the capacitive coupling between each sensing structure and the user's finger; and a body area network communication state in which a second signal is provided to the connection electrode by a first of the electronic unit and the body area network communication circuitry to the other one of the electronic unit and the body area network communication circuitry.

La présente invention concerne un système combiné de détection d'empreintes digitales et de communication par réseau corporel destiné à communiquer avec une unité électronique utilisant le corps d'un utilisateur en tant que support de communication, comprenant : un agencement de détection et un circuit de communication de réseau corporel. Le système peut être commandé entre : un état de détection d'empreintes digitales, dans lequel un premier signal correspondant au potentiel du doigt est fourni à une électrode de connexion et un circuit de lecture est commandé pour fournir des signaux de détection indiquant le couplage capacitif entre chaque structure de détection et le doigt de l'utilisateur ; et un état de communication de réseau de corporel dans lequel un second signal est fourni à l'électrode de connexion par une première de l'unité électronique et des circuits de communication de réseau de corporel à l'autre parmi l'unité électronique et les circuits de communication de réseau corporel.
