When seen from the rotation axis direction of a polygon mirror unit (40), the diameter (r) of the circumscribed circle passing thorough vertexes of the polygon mirror unit (40) is larger than the outer diameter (R) of a rotor unit (41a) of the polygon motor (41).

Dans la présente invention, dans un boîtier, une surface d’installation (44g), sur laquelle est disposée une unité de lentille d’imagerie (42L), est formée à une position plus élevée qu’une surface d’installation (44f), sur laquelle un moteur polygonal (41) est disposé, de sorte qu’un gradin soit présent entre ces surfaces.
