Title: ELECTRO-RESPONSE-BASED REVERSE SWITCHABLE GLASS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Abstract:
Electro-response-based reverse switchable glass and a preparation method therefor. The switchable glass includes two light-transmitting substrates arranged oppositely, and the space between the two light-transmitting substrates is packaged to form an adjusting area, the adjusting area being filled with a liquid crystal mixture (5). The liquid crystal mixture (5) comprises liquid crystal monomers, a photoinitiator and negative liquid crystals (6). The liquid crystal monomers can be polymerized to form a polymer network (7), and the negative liquid crystals (6) are dispersed in the polymer network (7). When no voltage is applied, the negative liquid crystals (6) are arranged perpendicular to the light-transmitting substrates in a single domain, and visible light is transmitted. When a voltage is applied, the negative liquid crystals (6) are arranged parallel to the light-transmitting substrates in multiple domains, enhancing light scattering, so that the switchable glass is switched from a light transmitting state into a light scattering state. When switching from a power-on state to a power-off state, the reverse switchable glass drives, by relying on the restoration function of the polymer network (7), the negative liquid crystals (6) to turn, in a response speed higher than that of traditional switchable glass; the polymer network (7) is formed in the adjusting area, so that the transmittance of the switchable glass is lower
