Abstract:
(EN) Provided is a display device with which, by improving the utilization efficiency of backlight light, the intensity of light that passes through to the front side is increased, and the glare from the rear side is minimized, thereby alleviating the stress felt by a viewer. First polarized waves emitted from the light guide panel 20 to the display surface pass through the first and second absorption polarizers 41, 42 and pass through to the front side as second polarized waves. Moreover, first polarized waves emitted from the light guide panel 20 to the rear side are also reflected to the front side by a third reflective polarizer 53 provided to the rear surface, and pass through to the front side. As a result of this configuration, the percentage of second polarized waves that pass through to the front side is extremely high, at "0.5". In addition, the intensity of light that passes through to the rear side becomes "0".
(FR) La présente invention a trait à un dispositif d'affichage qui permet, grâce à l'amélioration de l'efficacité d'utilisation d'une lumière de rétroéclairage, d'accroître l'intensité de la lumière qui le traverse pour rejoindre le côté avant, et de réduire au minimum l'éblouissement provenant du côté arrière, ce qui atténue le stress ressenti par un observateur. Des premières ondes polarisées émises à partir d'un panneau de guidage de lumière (20) vers la surface d'affichage traversent des premier et second polariseurs absorbants (41, 42) et rejoignent le côté avant sous la forme de secondes ondes polarisées. De plus, les premières ondes polarisées émises à partir du panneau de guidage de lumière (20) vers le côté arrière sont également réfléchies vers le côté avant par un troisième polariseur réfléchissant (53) situé sur la surface arrière, et elles rejoignent le côté avant. À la suite de cette configuration, le pourcentage de secondes ondes polarisées qui rejoignent le côté avant est extrêmement élevé, à "0,5". De plus, l'intensité de la lumière qui rejoint le côté arrière devient égale à "0".
