Abstract:
(EN) Techniques for EMD-based signal de-noising are disclosed that use statistical characteristics of IMFs to identify information-carrying IMFs for the purposes of partially reconstructing the identified relevant IMFs into a de-noised signal. The present disclosure has identified that the statistical characteristics of IMFs with noise tend to follow a generalized Gaussian distribution (GGD) versus only a Gaussian or Laplace distribution. Accordingly, a framework for relevant IMF selection is disclosed that includes, in part, performing a null hypothesis test against a distribution of each IMF derived from the use of a generalized probability density function (PDF). IMFs that contribute more noise than signal may thus be identified through the null hypothesis test. Conversely, the aspects and embodiments disclosed herein enable the determination of which IMFs have a contribution of more signal than noise. Thus, a signal may be partially reconstructed based on the predominately information-carrying IMFs to result in de-noised output signal.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des techniques de débruitage de signal à base d'EMD qui utilisent des caractéristiques statistiques d'IMF pour identifier des IMF comportant des informations dans le but de reconstruire partiellement les IMF pertinentes identifiées en un signal débruité. La présente invention a identifié que les caractéristiques statistiques des IMF avec du bruit ont tendance à suivre une distribution gaussienne généralisée (GGD) plutôt qu'une distribution gaussienne ou de Laplace En conséquence, l'invention concerne un cadre destiné à une sélection d'IMF pertinente qui comprend, en partie, la réalisation d'un test d'hypothèse nulle contre une distribution de chaque IMF dérivée de l'utilisation d'une fonction de densité de probabilité (PDF) généralisée. Les IMF qui apportent plus de bruit que le signal peuvent ainsi être identifiées par l'intermédiaire du test d'hypothèse nulle. Inversement, les aspects et modes de réalisation de l'invention permettent de déterminer quelles IMF apportent plus de signal que le bruit. Ainsi, un signal peut être partiellement reconstruit sur la base des IMF comportant des informations de manière prédominante afin de produire un signal de sortie débruité.
