Abstract

A polarizer stack including an absorbing polarizer and a multilayer polymeric reflective polarizer bonded together is described. The absorbing polarizer has a first block axis and the reflective polarizer has a second block axis substantially parallel to the first block axis. The reflective polarizer has a shrinkage in a range of 0.4 percent to 3 percent along the second block axis when the reflective polarizer is heated at 95 °C for 40 minutes.

L'invention concerne un empilement de polariseurs comprenant un polariseur absorbant et un polariseur réfléchissant en polymère multicouche collés ensemble. Le polariseur absorbant a un premier axe de bloc et le polariseur réfléchissant a un second axe de bloc sensiblement parallèle au premier axe de bloc. Le polariseur réfléchissant présente un retrait compris entre 0,4 et 3 % le long du second axe du bloc lorsque le polariseur réfléchissant est chauffé à 95°C pendant 40 minutes.
