Abstract:
The present invention achieves a vehicle rotary electric machine that can ensure the positional accuracy of a joint section for a rectifying element and a stator winding, can be made thinner, can reduce the cost of material, and even can be manufactured more easily. A vehicle rotary electric machine according to the present invention is provided with a rectifier provided with: a flat-plate-shaped insulating board; and a terminal block that is mounted on the insulating board and that has an electrical connection terminal. The terminal has a flat-plate-shaped body section and a plurality of terminal sections that project from a peripheral section of the body section towards at least one of one surface side and the other surface side of the body section in a direction orthogonal to the body section. The insulating board has: a position restricting section that is brought into engagement with at least one terminal section of the plurality of terminal sections and that restricts movement of the terminal in a surface direction of the other surface of the insulating board; and a holding section that presses the peripheral section of the body section of the terminal onto the other surface of the insulating board and that restricts movement of the terminal in a direction orthogonal to the other surface of the insulating board.
