Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a liquid, homogeneous and isotropic composite material in three dimensions, formed by a composition of resin pre-reinforced with glass micro-filaments, and to the method for producing same. The microfilaments are produced by cutting a continuous fibre in the form of a rigid filament ribbon, and are added to the resin composition until the quantity of fibre in the mixture reaches a predetermined proportion corresponding to a predetermined viscosity. The low viscosity of the mixture should allow any air that may have been introduced during compounding to escape. The mixture can be moulded in systems that require fluidity, such as spraying, injection-moulding, continuous lamination, casting, etc. All types of fillers and additives can be added to the liquid composite, making compression systems possible, such as BMC/SMC, extrusion, pultrusion, etc.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un matériau composite liquide, homogène et isotrope tridimensionnel, formé d'une composition de résine pré-renforcée de microfilaments de fibre de verre, ainsi que son procédé de fabrication. Les microfilaments sont obtenus par coupe d’une fibre continue sous forme de bande rigide de filaments, et sont ajoutés à la composition de résine jusqu'à ce que la quantité de fibre dans le mélange atteigne une fraction prédéterminée correspondant à une viscosité prédéterminée. La faible viscosité du mélange doit permettre la sortie de tout l'air ayant pu être introduit pendant le mélangeage. Le mélange peut être moulé par des systèmes requérant une fluidité, notamment par pulvérisation, injection, stratification continue, coulée, etc. Tous les types de charges et d'additifs peuvent être additionnés au composite liquide en vue de permettre la mise en oeuvre de systèmes de compression tels que le BMC/SMC, l'extrusion, la pultrusion, etc.
(PT) A presente invenção se refere a um material compósito líquido, homogêneo e isotrópico tridimensional, formado por uma composição de resina pré-reforçada com microfilamentos de fibra de vidro, assim como ao método de sua fabricação. Os microfilamentos são obtidos cortando fibra continua em forma de fita rígida de filamentos e são adicionados à composição de resina até que a quantidade de fibra na mistura alcance uma fração predeterminada correspondente a uma predeterminada viscosidade. A baixa viscosidade da mistura deve permitir a saída de qualquer ar que possa ter sido introduzido durante o compounding. A mistura pode ser moldada por sistemas que requerem fluidez, como spray, injeção, lâminação-continua, casting etc. O compósito líquido pode ser adicionado com qualquer tipo de cargas e aditivos viabilizando sistemas de compressão como BMC/SMC, extrusão, pultrusão etc.
