(EN)The present invention generally relates to a method which makes use of electrowetting to automate PCR amplification wherein the PCR reagents are contained in droplets, and further wherein the quantity of PCR product is monitored in real time thus enabling stopping amplification once a desired quantity of PCR product has been generated.
