Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for achieving battery deformation detection by means of a sensor module (40); said apparatus for achieving battery deformation detection by means of a sensor module (40) comprises: a battery module (10), a circuit board (20), a fixed base groove (30), a sensor module (40) and a battery chamber (50); the battery module (10), the circuit board (20) and the fixed base groove (30) are disposed in the battery chamber (50); the sensor module (40) is provided in the fixed base groove (30), and located at the side of the fixed base groove (30) near the battery module (10); the battery module (10) and the sensor module (40) are electrically connected to the circuit board (20), respectively. The sensor module (40) and the circuit board (20) constitute a protection system; when the overall or local shape of the battery module (10) exhibits abnormal deformation which reaches an abnormal threshold, a sensor in the sensor module (40) will be triggered to send a trigger signal, thus the circuit board (20) stops charging and discharging the battery module (10) so as to avoid more serious consequences, thereby protecting the product itself, as well as personal and property safety of a user.
