Technologies are described herein for modifying a user interface ("UI") provided by a computing device based upon a user's brain activity and gaze. A machine learning classifier is trained using data that identifies the state of a UI provided by a computing device, data identifying brain activity of a user of the computing device, and data identifying the location of the user's gaze. Once trained, the classifier can select a state for the UI provided by the computing device based upon brain activity and gaze of the user. The UI can then be configured based on the selected state. An API can also expose an interface through which an operating system and programs can obtain data identifying the UI state selected by the machine learning classifier. Through the use of this data, a UI can be configured for suitability with a user's current mental state and gaze.

L'invention concerne des technologies permettant de modifier une interface utilisateur ("IU") fournie par un dispositif informatique en fonction de l'activité cérébrale et du regard de l'utilisateur. Un classificateur d'apprentissage machine est formé à l'aide de données qui identifient l'état d'une IU fournie par un dispositif informatique, de données identifiant l'activité cérébrale d'un utilisateur du dispositif informatique, et de données identifiant l'emplacement du regard de l'utilisateur. Une fois formé, le classificateur peut sélectionner un état pour l'IU fournie par le dispositif informatique d'après l'activité cérébrale et le regard de l'utilisateur. L'IU peut ensuite être configurée d'après l'état sélectionné. Une API peut également afficher une interface par l'intermédiaire de laquelle un système d'exploitation et des programmes peuvent obtenir des données identifiant l'état d'IU sélectionné par le classificateur d'apprentissage machine. Grâce à l'utilisation de ces données, une IU peut être configurée pour s'adapter à l'état mental actuel et au regard de l'utilisateur.
