Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides: devices, specifically, a display device and an optical device, obtained by controlling the orientation of a liquid crystal from within a liquid crystal bulk without using a liquid crystal alignment film; and a photoreactive liquid crystal composition for manufacturing said devices. In particular, the present invention provides a photoreactive liquid crystal composition using a compound which can be homogeneously mixed with (B) low molecular weight liquid crystals used in photoreactive liquid crystal compositions. By using said composition, the present invention provides a device obtained by controlling the orientation of a liquid crystal within a liquid crystal bulk without using a liquid crystal alignment film. The present invention provides a photoreactive liquid crystal composition containing: (A) a photoreactive compound having a siloxane backbone and having a photoreactive group; and (B) a low molecular weight liquid crystal.
(FR) L’invention fournit des éléments, plus concrètement un élément d’affichage et un élément optique, obtenus en régulant l'alignement des cristaux liquides au sein de cristaux liquides en vrac sans utiliser de film d'alignement de cristaux liquides. En outre, l’invention fournit une composition de cristaux liquides photoréactive destinée à produire ledit élément. Plus spécifiquement, l’invention fournit une composition de cristaux liquides photoréactive mettant en œuvre (B) des cristaux liquides de faible poids moléculaire et un composé doté de propriétés élevées en termes de mélange uniforme. Ainsi, l’invention fournit au moyen de cette composition des éléments obtenus en régulant l'alignement des cristaux liquides au sein de cristaux liquides en vrac sans utiliser de film d'alignement de cristaux liquides. Plus précisément, l’invention fournit une composition de cristaux liquides photoréactive qui possède : (A) un composé photoréactif présentant un squelette de siloxane et possédant un groupe photoréactif ; et (B) des cristaux liquides de faible poids moléculaire.
