Abstract:

(EN)In this invention we do application performance monitoring without affecting the performance of the application itself. We take a dynamic policy driven approach here which in turn supports two kinds of models, Request-Response based Model and Task based Model. Instead of traditional application performance monitoring techniques where we enable the instrumentation or performance monitoring for the entire application code, here we do it for parts of application code(either in form of task or request-response cycle) dynamically, thereby reducing overhead and not affecting the application performance.
(FR)L’invention a pour objectif de surveiller les performances d’une application sans affecter les performances de l'application elle-même. Pour ce faire, l’invention concerne une approche commandée par une politique dynamique, qui à son tour prend en charge deux types de modèles : un modèle basé sur une réponse à la demande et un modèle basé sur une tâche. Au lieu d'utiliser des techniques de surveillance de performances d'application classiques qui permettent l’instrumentation ou la surveillance des performances pour le code d'application complet, la technique de l’invention s’applique à des parties du code d'application de façon dynamique (sous la forme d'un cycle de tâche ou de réponse à la demande), ce qui permet de réduire le surdébit et de ne pas affecter les performances de l'application.
