Abstract:
The invention relates to the end-side sealing of a membrane tube section for a membrane element, in particular a filter membrane element. According to the invention, an end region of the membrane tube section which is to be sealed is heated and at least melted and brought into contact with a sealing device and sealed. The sealing device with a formed bore is heated to a temperature above the melting temperature of the material of the membrane tube section and when sealing the end region, is rotated or tilted back and forth with respect to the membrane tube section by means of a drive device. A corresponding device comprises a sealing device which can be heated, by means of at least one heating device with a formed bore, to a temperature above the melting point of the material of the membrane tube section and which comprises a forming surface for contacting with an end region of the membrane tube section which is to be sealed. The shaping surface is formed inside a formed bore which is provided in a housing of the sealing device. The housing can be rotated or pivoted about a rotational axis with respect to the membrane tube section by means of a drive device.
