Abstract:
(EN) A sensor assembly for detecting material loss of a vessel transporting flowing media, the sensor assembly having at least one sensor positioned between a pair of annular plates such that the radially innermost surface of the sensor is in open communication with the flowing media. A series of parallel resistors spaced along the sensor and transmit a signal. As the material of the annular plates is worn away by corrosion and/or erosion, the outermost resistor becomes exposed to the flowing media and breaks the circuit as to that resistor, thus changing the signal.
(FR) L'invention concerne un ensemble capteur pour détecter une perte de matière d'un récipient transportant des milieux en écoulement, l'ensemble capteur comprenant au moins un capteur positionné entre une paire de plaques annulaires de telle sorte que la surface radialement la plus à l'intérieur du capteur est en communication ouverte avec les milieux en écoulement. Une série de résistances parallèles sont espacées le long du capteur et transmettent un signal. Lorsque la matière des plaques annulaires est usée par corrosion et/ou érosion, la résistance la plus à l'extérieur est alors exposée aux milieux en écoulement et coupe le circuit par rapport à cette résistance, modifiant ainsi le signal.
