Abstract

A biometric system may include an ultrasonic sensor array, a light source system and a control system. Some implementations may include an ultrasonic transmitter. The control system may be capable of controlling the light source system to emit light and of receiving signals from the ultrasonic sensor array corresponding to acoustic waves emitted from portions of a target object in response to being illuminated with the light emitted by the light source system. The control system may be capable of performing a user authentication process that is based, at least in part, on the signals from the ultrasonic sensor array.

La présente invention concerne un système biométrique qui peut comprendre un réseau de capteurs à ultrasons, un système de source de lumière et un système de commande. Certains modes de réalisation peuvent comprendre un émetteur d'ultrasons. Le système de commande peut être apte à commander le système de source de lumière afin d'émettre de la lumière et à recevoir des signaux provenant du réseau de capteurs à ultrasons correspondant aux ondes acoustiques émises à partir des parties d'un objet cible, en réponse au faite d’être éclairé avec la lumière émise par le système de source de lumière. Le système de commande peut être apte à effectuer un processus d'authentification d'utilisateur qui est basé, au moins en partie, sur les signaux provenant du réseau de capteurs à ultrasons.
