Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein are fluorinated compounds having chemical structures: (I) where n is 0 or greater, or (II) where m and n are 0 or greater, or an amino acid, a soluble polymer, an oligo(ethylene glycol), a poly(ethylene glycol), or a carbohydrate each fluorinated with perfluorocarbons having the chemical structure (III) where n is 0 or greater. These fluorinated compounds are utilized in contact lenses to impart lipid-resistant, protein-resistant and biofouling-resistant properties, thus reducing discomfort and infection caused by contact lens wear without changing its transmission characteristics. Also provided is an ophthalmic drug delivery system comprising at least one of the compounds described above embedded in the contact lens and a kit to incorporate the ophthalmic into a contact lens. Methods for incorporating these compounds onto a contact lens without affecting transparency and for use in treating an ophthalmologic-associated condition are provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des composés fluorés qui possèdent des structures chimiques : (I) où n est égal à 0 ou plus, ou (II) où m et n sont égaux ou supérieurs à 0, ou un acide aminé, un polymère soluble, un oligo(éthylèneglycol), un poly(éthylèneglycol), ou un hydrate de carbone chacun fluoré avec des perfluorocarbones qui possèdent la structure chimique (III) où n est égal ou supérieur à 0. Ces composés fluorés sont utilisés dans des lentilles de contact pour conférer des propriétés de résistance aux lipides, de résistance aux protéines et de résistance aux biosalissures, ainsi réduisant l'inconfort et l'infection provoqués par l'usure de la lentille de contact sans changer ses caractéristiques de transmission. La présente invention concerne également un système d'administration de médicament ophtalmique qui comprend au moins l'un des composés décrits ci-dessus incorporé dans la lentille de contact et un kit pour incorporer le médicament ophtalmique dans une lentille de contact. La présente invention concerne également des procédés pour incorporer ces composés sur une lentille de contact sans affecter la transparence, lesdits procédés étant destinés également à une utilisation dans le traitement d'une affection ophtalmologique associée.
