Abstract:
(EN) Provided herein are non-natural plants, such as plants having at least one 5- hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC) in the genome; transgenic plants having a catalytic domain of a Tet protein, a polynucleotide encoding a catalytic domain of a Tet protein, or a combination thereof; or plants having a genome with reduced methylation of cytosine residues compared to a control plant. Also provided are methods for making and using such plants.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des plantes non naturelles, telles que des plantes ayant au moins une 5-hydroxyméthylcytosine (5-hmC) dans le génome ; des plantes transgéniques ayant un domaine catalytique d'une protéine Tet, un polynucléotide codant pour un domaine catalytique d'une protéine Tet, ou une combinaison de ces derniers ; ou des plantes ayant un génome avec une méthylation réduite des résidus de cytosine par rapport à une plante témoin.
