A parking pawl module (10) includes a first actuator (100), a gearbox (200) including at least one gear carrier (220) where the at least one gear carrier supports a hub (260) configured to rotate when the first actuator rotates, and a disconnect module (400). The disconnect module includes: an output coupler (410) having a first surface (412) and a second surface (414); an actuation feature (240, 240c) disposed on the first surface; and a torsion spring (450) having a first end (452) connected to the output coupler and a second end (453) connected to the hub or the at least one gear carrier. The disconnect module also includes an actuation mechanism (430) disposed on the second surface of the output coupler. The actuation mechanism is configured to mesh with the hub. The first actuator controls movement of the at least one hub, the actuation feature, and the actuation mechanism.
