Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods are described herein to generate a 3D surface scan of a surface profile of a patient's anatomy. The 3D surface scan may be generated by reflections of structured light off the surface profile of the anatomy. The 3D surface scan may be used during intra-operative surgical navigation by a localization system. Optionally, a pre-operative medical image may also be registered to the localization system or used to enhance the 3D surface scan.
(FR) L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés servant à générer un balayage de surface 3D d'un profil de surface de l'anatomie d'un patient. Le balayage de surface 3D peut être généré par des réflexions de lumière structurée par le profil de surface de l'anatomie. Le balayage de surface 3D peut être utilisé pendant une navigation chirurgicale peropératoire par un système de localisation. Facultativement, une image médicale préopératoire peut également être enregistrée dans le système de localisation ou servir à améliorer le balayage de surface 3D.
