Abstract:
(EN) A surgical instrument is configured to compensate for battery pack and drivetrain failures. One method includes generating a firing sequence, determining whether a subset of rechargeable battery cells is damaged during the firing sequence, and stepping-up an output voltage of the battery pack to complete the firing sequence in response to a determination that a subset of the rechargeable battery cells is damaged. Another method includes generating a mechanical output to motivate a drivetrain to transmit a motion to a jaw assembly of the surgical instrument, activating a safe mode in response to an acute failure of the drivetrain, and activating a bailout mode in response to a catastrophic failure of the drivetrain. Another method includes driving a drivetrain, sensing and recording vibration information from the drivetrain, generating an output signal based on the vibration information, and determining a status of the surgical instrument based on the output signal.
(FR) Instrument chirurgical conçu pour compenser des défaillances de bloc-batterie et de train de transmission. Un procédé consiste à produire une séquence de déclenchement, à déterminer si un sous-ensemble d'éléments de batterie rechargeables est endommagé pendant la séquence de déclenchement, et à élever une tension de sortie du bloc-batterie afin d'achever la séquence de déclenchement en réponse à une détermination selon laquelle un sous-ensemble des éléments de batterie rechargeables est endommagé. Un autre procédé consiste à produire une sortie mécanique pour motiver un train de transmission à transmettre un mouvement à un ensemble mâchoire de l'instrument chirurgical, à activer un mode de sécurité en réponse à une défaillance aiguë du train de transmission, et à activer un mode abandon en réponse à une défaillance catastrophique du train de transmission. Un autre procédé consiste à entraîner un train de transmission, à détecter et à enregistrer des informations de vibration provenant du train de transmission, à produire un signal de sortie sur la base des informations de vibration, et à déterminer un état de l'instrument chirurgical sur la base du signal de sortie.
