(EN)The purpose of the present invention is to provide isolated human common monocyte progenitors which do not differentiate into any cells other than monocytic cells and which have proliferative ability. The present invention relates to: the acquisition of human common monocyte progenitors with strict monocytic differentiation potential by isolating Lin-CD34+CD38+CD10-CD123int/-CD45RA+CD135+CLEC12AhiCD64hi cells from an umbilical cord blood sample or a bone marrow sample; a therapeutic method targeting the human common monocyte progenitors capable of differentiating exclusively into monocytic cells; and a medicinal composition comprising a substance acting specifically on the human common monocyte progenitors capable of differentiating exclusively into monocytic cells.
