Abstract:
A solar cell (100) comprises: an intrinsic silicon thin film (21), a conductive silicon thin film (31), a light-receiving-surface transparent electrode layer (41), and light-receiving surface metal electrodes (71), provided in that order upon a first main surface of a crystalline silicon substrate (1); and an intrinsic silicon thin film (22), a conductive silicon thin film (32), a back-surface transparent electrode layer (42), and back-surface metal electrodes (72), provided in that order upon a second main surface of the crystalline silicon substrate (1). The crystalline silicon substrate (1) has a texture on the first main surface and the second main surface. The light-receiving-surface metal electrodes (71) and the back-surface metal electrodes (72) are all provided in a pattern. The back-surface transparent electrode layer (42) is not provided on the periphery of the second main surface. At the periphery of the second main surface, an end planarizing metal layer (75) is provided spaced apart from the back-surface transparent electrode layer (42).
