Abstract:
To provide a working robot enabling to reduce the number of communication cables between a working unit and a control unit. A workpiece placing device 11 is provided with a base unit 31, an arm unit 33 movably connected to the base unit 31, and an end effector 39 that is provided at a leading end of the arm unit 33. The workpiece placing device 11 arrays workpieces at predetermined intervals on a pallet by means of the end effector 39. A first multiplex communication unit 111 provided to the base unit 31 is connected, via an optical fiber cable, to a second multiplex communication unit 113 that is provided to the arm unit 33. A system control unit receives various types of signals from the end effector 39 by means of multiplex communication via the first multiplex communication unit 111 and the second multiplex communication unit 113, and controls the end effector 39 on the basis of the signals thus received.
