Abstract:
(EN) A system and a method for improving visibility of newly decaying or carious tissue are described. Light having a lower peak wavelength (such as 405 nm) illuminates dental tissue, and an image is captured. Light having a higher peak wavelength (such as 450 nm) then illuminates the same dental tissue, and a second image is captured. The images are aligned, and an output image is created based on at least one of the first image and the second image, modified in certain areas as a function of the relationships between the red values of the first image (R1) and the second image (R2) at that location and the green values of the first image (G1) and the second image (G2) at that location. The function may use the ratios R2:R1 and G1:G2, such as a function of the product of those ratios, to determine the color adjustment that is applied.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé pour améliorer la visibilité de tissus nouvellement dégradé ou carié. Une lumière ayant une longueur d'onde de pic inférieure (telle que 405 nm) éclaire un tissu dentaire, et une image est capturée. Une lumière ayant une longueur d'onde de pic supérieure (telle que 450 nm) éclaire ensuite le même tissu dentaire, et une deuxième image est capturée. Les images sont alignées, et une image de sortie est générée sur la base d’au moins l’une de la première image et/ou la deuxième image, modifiée dans certaines zones en fonction des relations entre les valeurs rouges de la première image (R1) et la deuxième image (R2) à cet emplacement et les valeurs vertes de la première image (V1) et de la deuxième image (V2) à cet emplacement. La fonction peut utiliser les rapports R2:R1 et V1:V2, par exemple une fonction du produit de ces rapports, pour déterminer le réglage de couleur qui est appliqué.
