Abstract:
(EN) There is provided a controller (30) for controlling the switching of a switched mode power supply, SMPS, (300) to regulate an output voltage of the SM PS (300). The controller (30) comprises a voltage droop control signal generator (32) for receiving a current indicator signal (Sl) that is indicative of an output current (lout) of the SM PS (300), the voltage droop control signal generator (32) being configured to generate, as a function of the received current indicator signal (Sl), an output voltage droop control signal (Sdroop) for regulating the output voltage (Vout) of the SMPS (300), said function being non-linear and having a first derivative which is both continuous and greater than zero for all values of the current indicator signal (Si). The controller further comprises a switching control signal generator (23) for receiving a voltage indicator signal (SVout) indicative of the output voltage (Vout)of the SM PS (300), the switching control signal generator (23) being configured to generate, based on the voltage indicator signal (SVout), a reference voltage signal (Sref) and the output voltage droop control signal (Sdroop), a control signal (Sc) for controlling the switching of the SM PS (300) to regulate the output voltage of the SM PS (300).
(FR) L'invention concerne un contrôleur (30) destiné à commander la commutation d'une alimentation électrique à découpage, SMPS, (300) afin de réguler une tension de sortie de la SMPS (300). Le contrôleur (30) comprend un générateur de signal de commande de chute de tension (32) destiné à recevoir un signal indicateur de courant (Sl) qui est indicatif d'un courant de sortie (lout) de la SMPS (300), le générateur de signal de commande de chute de tension (32) étant configuré pour générer, en fonction du signal indicateur de courant reçu (Sl), un signal de commande de chute de tension de sortie (Sdroop) destiné à réguler la tension de sortie (Vout) de la SMPS (300), ladite fonction étant non linéaire et ayant une première dérivée qui est à la fois continue et supérieure à zéro pour toutes les valeurs du signal indicateur de courant (Si). Le contrôleur comprend en outre un générateur de signal de commande de commutation (23) destiné à recevoir un signal indicateur de tension (SVout) indicatif de la tension de sortie (Vout) de la SMPS (300), le générateur de signal de commande de commutation (23) étant configuré pour générer, en se basant sur le signal indicateur de tension (SVout), un signal de tension de référence (Sref) et le signal de commande de chute de tension de sortie (Sdroop), un signal de commande (Sc) destiné à commander la commutation de la SMPS (300) afin de réguler la tension de sortie de la SMPS (300).
