Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a system and method for a 24-GHz phased array for indoor smart radar comprising at least 6 horizontally placed antenna elements as a vertically placed 5- element series-fed microstrip patch array. The beam of the phased array can be continuously steered on the H-plane to different directions through a novel vector control array. Each element can adjust the phase and amplitude of the corresponding element of the horizontally placed linear array. The phased array system of the present invention may be fabricated on a single printed circuit board (PCB), and PIN diodes are used to realize beam steering by modulating the decomposed received signal. In order to compensate for the loss of the vector control array and reduce the noise figure, six low noise amplifiers (LNAs) are also used in the array. The present invention has the ability to continuously steer the beam on the H- plane.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé destinés à un réseau à commande de phase à 24 GHz destiné à un radar intelligent d'intérieur comprenant au moins 6 éléments d'antenne placés horizontalement prenant chacun la forme d'un groupement de plaques microruban alimentées en série à 5 éléments placés verticalement. Le faisceau du réseau à commande de phase peut être pointé en continu sur le plan H dans différentes directions au moyen d'un nouveau réseau de commande vectorielle. Chaque élément peut régler la phase et l'amplitude de l'élément correspondant du réseau linéaire placé horizontalement. Le système de réseau à commande de phase de la présente invention peut être fabriqué sur une seule carte de circuit imprimé (PCB), et des diodes PIN sont utilisées pour réaliser un pointage du faisceau par modulation du signal reçu décomposé. Afin de compenser les pertes du réseau de commande vectorielle et de réduire le facteur de bruit, six amplificateurs à faible bruit (LNA) sont également utilisés dans le réseau. La présente invention est dotée de la capacité de pointer le faisceau en continu sur le plan H.
