Abstract:
In order to prevent friction between two motive power transmission members for rotating a treatment part in a reverse direction about the longitudinal axis thereof and prevent a reduction in durability and operability, the rotation mechanism (8) for a medical manipulator pertaining to the present invention is provided with a substantially cylindrical rotation member (9) fixed to a treatment part (7) at a distal end thereof and supported so as to be able to rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof, a long motive power transmission member (10) wound around the rotation member (9), and a folded part (11) in which the motive power transmission member (10) drawn out in a tangential direction from the rotation member (9) is caused to curve and is led toward a proximal-end side, the motive power transmission member (10) being drawn out in the tangential direction from different positions on either side in the longitudinal-axis direction of a wound part (9a) in which the motive power transmission member (10) is wound around the rotation member (9).
