Abstract:
(EN) The present application relates to an improved apparatus for mixing intensification in multiphase systems, which can be operating in continuous or batch mode. In particular, it relates to a reactor, which can be assembled and disassembled easily for cleaning. The apparatus is based on oscillatory flow mixing (OFM) and comprises an oscillatory flow plate reactor (OFPR) provided with 2D Smooth Periodic Constrictions (2D-SPCs). The apparatus can be fully thermostatized and it is based on a modular system, in order to achieve most of the industrial application. The OFPR is suitable for multiphase applications such as screening reactions, bioprocess, gas-liquid absorption, liquid-liquid extraction, precipitation and crystallization. Regarding its size and geometry and the ability to operate at low flow rates, reagent requirements and waste are significantly reduced, as well as the manufacturing and operating costs, compared to the common reactor, such as continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) and the "conventional" OFR.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil amélioré pour l'intensification du mélange dans des systèmes multiphases, qui peut fonctionner en mode continu ou discontinu. En particulier, l'invention concerne un réacteur qui peut être assemblé et démonté facilement pour le nettoyage. L'appareil est basé sur un mélange à écoulement oscillatoire et comprend un réacteur à plaques à écoulement oscillatoire doté d'étranglements périodiques doux 2D. L'appareil peut être intégralement thermostaté et est basé sur un système modulaire afin de mettre en œuvre la plupart des applications industrielles. Le nouveau réacteur à plaques à écoulement oscillatoire convient à des applications multiphases comme des réactions de criblage, des processus biologiques, l'absorption gaz-liquide, l'extraction liquide-liquide, la précipitation et la cristallisation. Grâce à sa taille, à sa géométrie et à sa capacité de fonctionnement à faibles débits, les besoins en réactifs et les déchets sont significativement réduits, ainsi que les coûts de fabrication et de fonctionnement, par rapport aux réacteurs courants tels que le réacteur à cuve agitée en continu et le réacteur à plaques à écoulement oscillatoire classique.
