Abstract

The apparatus is provided for measuring and cutting elongated objects such as pipes, steel beams, etc. The apparatus may employ a precisely calibrated wheel for measuring length of a generally straight, elongated object by translation of rotational distance along an outer circumference thereof. The apparatus may further employ a lift slider, a scale, cutter, and/or a conveying structure which are generally confined to the proximity of a body frame.

L'invention concerne un appareil conçu pour mesurer et découper des objets allongés tels que des tuyaux, des poutres en acier, etc. L'appareil peut utiliser une roue étalonnée avec précision pour mesurer la longueur d'un objet allongé globalement droit par conversion de la distance de rotation le long d'une circonférence extérieure de celui-ci. L'appareil peut en outre utiliser un coulisseau de levage, une balance, un dispositif de coupe et/ou une structure de transport qui sont généralement maintenus à proximité d'une structure de corps.
