The purpose of the present invention is to provide a styrenic copolymer that exhibits superior formability, and contains less gelatinous material. This styrenic copolymer is formed from a conjugated divinyl compound having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 850-100,000 and one or more types of monovinyl compounds containing at least a styrenic compound, wherein: the contained amount of the conjugated divinyl compound is 2.0×10-6 to 4.0×10-4 moles per 1 mole of the monovinyl compounds; and the styrenic copolymer has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 200,000-500,000, and the proportion of the copolymer having a molecular weight of 2,000,000 or more is 0.3-6.0%.

La présente invention concerne la préparation d’un copolymère styrénique qui fait preuve d’une aptitude supérieure à la mise en forme, et qui contient peu de matériau gélatineux. Ce copolymère styrénique est formé à partir d’un composé divinyle conjugué ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre (Mn) de 850 à 100 000 et un ou plusieurs types de composés monovinyliques contenant au moins un composé styrénique : la quantité contenue du composé divinyle conjugué étant de 2,0 x 10-6 à 4,0 x 10-4 moles pour 1 mole de composés monovinyliques ; et le copolymère styrénique présentant un poids moléculaire moyen en poids (Mw) de 200 000 à 500 000, et la proportion du copolymère ayant un poids moléculaire de 2 000 000 ou plus est de 0,3 à 6,0 %.
