Title: CHEMICAL HEAT STORAGE GRANULES AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREFOR
Abstract:
Provided are chemical heat storage granules which undergo dehydration/endothermic reaction in the low-temperature range of 100-350°C and have high strength. The chemical heat storage granules are configured of, as major components, at least one compound selected from among the oxide of magnesium, the hydroxide of magnesium, composite oxides of magnesium, and composite hydroxides of magnesium, at least one compound selected from among lithium compounds, potassium compounds, and sodium compounds, and a carbon compound, and are characterized in that in the case where the chemical heat storage granules have a carbon content of 12-35 mass%, the chemical heat storage granules have excellent susceptibility to dehydration/endothermic reaction in the low-temperature range of 100-350°C and show excellent durability, in cases when the content of Li, K, and/or Na with respect to the Mg contained in the chemical heat storage granules is in the range of 0.1-50 mol% and when the composite oxides of magnesium and composite hydroxides of magnesium each contain at least one element selected from among Ni, Co, Cu, and Al in an amount in the range of 1-40 mol% with respect to the Mg.
