Abstract:
Magnetic wedges which include a ferromagnetic portion formed by compression molding a magnetic powder have had the problem that, although the occurrence of eddy currents is reduced, magnetic characteristics have deteriorated due to insufficient density of aggregation of the ferromagnetic material. The magnetic wedge of the present invention is characterized by being provided with: a nonmagnetic portion made of a nonmagnetic material; and a pair of ferromagnetic portions provided on both sides of the nonmagnetic portion, each having a protrusion portion at an end, and each comprising a plurality of ferromagnetic rods that have been bundled and fixed. By this means, motor performance can be enhanced by improving the magnetic characteristics while suppressing eddy currents.
