[Problem] To provide a tool for sustained release of an antibiotic, said tool having a structure which allows easy access from the outside and flexibly enables the administration of an antibiotic that is most suitable for a target affected site in accordance with the circumstances.
[Solution] A tool to be used for administering an antibiotic to a tissue at a bone fracture site. The tool 100 for sustained release of an antibiotic is provided with a fixation pin body 110 which comprises a shaft 111, a side face opening 114 formed on the side face of the shaft 111, a base end opening 115 formed in the base end part of the shaft 111, a hollow part 113 penetrating from the side face opening 114 to the base end opening 115 of the shaft 111, and a screw part 112 formed around the front end of the shaft 111 and to be screwed into a bone. The fixation pin body 110 is inserted into a bone outside a wound at a bone fracture site and then fixed thereto. A transfusion tube-connecting part 120 receives an antibiotic, which is supplied from an antibiotic transfusion tube located outside, and allows sustained release of the antibiotic from the side face opening 114 of the fixation pin body 110 through the hollow part 113 thereof.
