Abstract:
Provided is a printing apparatus capable of suppressing a self-jet flow generated when ink jets out from a nozzle array and capable of improving printing quality. The present invention is provided with: an ink jet head 11 that jets a liquid from a nozzle array 14 opened to a liquid jetting surface 12 arranged on a surface opposed to a printing medium 3; a plasma actuator 20; and a control unit 30 that controls the ink jet head 11 and the plasma actuator 20. The control unit 30 drives the plasma actuator 20 to generate an air flow between the liquid jetting surface 12 and the printing medium 3 when the nozzle array 14 is to jet a liquid to the printing medium 3.
