The purpose of the present invention is to provide a glass cloth capable of suppressing occurrences of prepreg pinholes and maintaining quality of appearance in the prepreg even when the average number of stages is less than 3.00. Provided is a glass cloth that is constituted of warp and weft formed from bundles of glass filaments with a diameter in the range of 3.0 - 4.2 µm in a range of 14 - 55 filaments, with the weave density of the warp and weft being in the range of 86 - 140/25 mm, and that has a thickness in the range of 7.5 - 12.0 µm, a mass in the range of 6.0 - 10.0 g per 1 m2, and an average number of stages in a range of 2.00 or greater and less than 3.00, wherein the average degree of opening shown by the geometric mean of the degree of opening of the warp and the degree of opening of the weft is in the range of 1.000 - 1.300, and the filament width ratio shown by the ratio of the fineness of the warp filaments to fineness of the weft filaments is in the range of 0.720 - 0.960.
