Title: SUPPORT SERVICE SYSTEM FOR INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Abstract:
With prior art, there is a risk of the customer not knowing what information is being acquired, giving rise to uncertainty. Moreover, prior art only acquires internal apparatus data. But in order to assess inkjet printer malfunctions with high precision, visual information, such as the condition of the printing mechanism or conveyance line and printing results, is also necessary for assessing the condition of the apparatus. Therefore, the construction of a maintenance system for also acquiring such information is necessary. The present invention is a support service system for an inkjet printing apparatus provided with: a first network terminal to which information relating to the condition of a first inkjet printing apparatus can be communicated by communication from a first external communication device installed on the first inkjet printing apparatus; and a second network terminal for making an assessment on the basis of the information relating to the condition of the apparatus communicated by the first network terminal and transmitting the assessment results to the first network terminal. The support service system is characterized in that the first network terminal transmits a first inkjet printing apparatus maintenance request to the second network terminal and the second network terminal transmits whether or not maintenance can be performed to the first network terminal.
