Abstract

The invention relates to an improved process for the treatment of bottom ash, which prevents excessive leaching of Sb and render them suitable for open application. In the process according to the invention, bottom ash is treated by (a) providing an aqueous suspension of the bottom ash; (b) mixing the bottom ash suspension originating from step (a) with green rust and allowing Sb(V) to be reduced to Sb(lll); and (c) introducing O2 into the mixture originating from step (b). The invention also concerns a mixture of bottom ash and green rust, for example as obtainable by step (b), and the treated bottom ash as obtainable by step (c), as well as the use of said bottom ash.

L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré pour le traitement de cendres résiduelles, qui empêche une lixiviation excessive de Sb et le rend approprié pour une application ouverte. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, des cendres résiduelles sont traitées en (a) fournissant une suspension aqueuse des cendres résiduelles ; (b) mélangeant la suspension de cendres résiduelles provenant de l'étape (a) avec une rouille verte et permettant à Sb(V) d'être réduit à Sb(lll) ; et (c) introduisant O2 dans le mélange provenant de l'étape (b). L'invention concerne également un mélange de cendres résiduelles et de rouille verte, par exemple pouvant être obtenu par l'étape (b), et les cendres résiduelles traitées pouvant être obtenues par l'étape (c), ainsi que l'utilisation desdites cendres résiduelles.
