Abstract:
(EN) A floating wind turbine comprising a hull (1), a wind turbine (2) mounted on top of the hull (1) and a counterweight (3) suspended below the hull (1) by means of counterweight suspension means (18) is described. Also a method for the installation is described. The counterweight (3) comprises one or more counterweight buoyancy tanks (17). When the internal volume of the buoyancy tanks (17) is filled with air, the total buoyancy of the counterweight (3) is close to or greater than its weight. Hereby it is capable of floating in a towing / maintenance position with moderate or no support in the vertical direction from the hull (1) or other vessels. During towing, the hull substantially has the character of a barge, substantially relying on a large waterplane area and shallow draft to maintain stability. When the buoyancy tanks (17) are partly or completely flooded with water, the counterweight (3) will sink to an installed position at a level determined by the counter- weight suspension means (18). In this position the counterweight acts as a keel, stabilizing the foundation. The counterweight suspension means (18) are separately or jointly capable of transfer- ring both forces and moments to the hull (1), thereby enabling the counterweight (3) to stabilize the hull (1) when the counterweight (3) is in its installed position.
(FR) L'invention concerne une turbine éolienne flottante, laquelle turbine comprend une coque (1), une turbine éolienne (2) montée sur la partie supérieure de la coque (1) et un contrepoids (3) suspendu au-dessous de la coque (1) à l'aide de moyens de suspension de contrepoids (18). L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant l'installation. Le contrepoids (3) comprend un ou plusieurs réservoirs de flottaison de contrepoids (17). Lorsque le volume interne des réservoirs de flottaison (17) est rempli d'air, la flottabilité totale du contrepoids (3) est proche de son poids ou supérieure à son poids. Il est ainsi apte à flotter dans une position de remorquage/maintenance avec un support modéré ou sans support dans la direction verticale à partir de la coque (1) ou d'autres vaisseaux. Pendant le remorquage, la coque possède sensiblement la nature d'une barge, sensiblement basée sur une grande surface de plan d'eau et un tirant d'eau peu profond en vue de maintenir la stabilité. Lorsque les réservoirs de flottaison (17) seront partiellement ou complètement inondés par de l'eau, le contrepoids (3) s'enfoncera vers une position définie à un niveau déterminé par les moyens de suspension de contrepoids (18). Dans cette position, le contrepoids agit comme une quille, stabilisant la fondation. Les moyens de suspension de contrepoids (18) sont aptes à transférer tout à la fois des forces et des moments à la coque (1) séparément ou conjointement, permettant ainsi au contrepoids (3) de stabiliser la coque (1) lorsque le contrepoids (3) est dans sa position définie.
