Abstract:
A femtosecond laser oscillator, comprising several components, including an optical pump (101) at 532 nm, a titanium-sapphire crystal (105), a laser resonant cavity, a set of dispersion compensation elements (107, 111), etc. The optical pump (101) at 532 nm emits energy to the titanium-sapphire crystal (105) via an optical pump guide device, so as to generate stimulated emission, and the light of the stimulated emission oscillates in the laser resonant cavity and gains amplification, such that continuous light is outputted. The dispersion compensation elements (107, 111) are placed in the resonant cavity to compensate the output laser light for dispersion generated by oscillation in the resonant cavity, thus reaching a mode-locking condition. The femtosecond laser oscillator achieves perturbation-related mode-locking with returned light from outside of the cavity by means of partially returning emitted continuous light into the femtosecond laser, thus achieving mode-locking, and providing an output of femtosecond pulses.
