Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a tubular electrochemical apparatus for the electrowinning production of metal from solutions containing same. The apparatus is formed by a plastic tube that extends between a pair of end covers made from the same non-conductive material, said end covers including inlet and outlet pipes for anolyte and catholyte that flow between the annular spaces formed between the concentric layers of electrodes separated by an ion exchange membrane. The electrolysed product is discharged from the anolyte or catholyte compartment in the form of a metal or a metallic compound. The ion exchange membrane is housed in the annular space between the anode and the cathode. Once the production cycle is finished, the device is stopped and the apparatus is opened, allowing the metal deposit electrode, cathode, to be lifted, removed and replaced in order for a new production cycle to begin. The apparatus of the invention can operate as an independent unit or as one of a series of apparatuses connected in series or in parallel.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil électrochimique tubulaire de production de métal par électro obtention à partir de solutions qui les contiennent. Cet appareil est constitué d’un tube de plastique qui s’étend entre une paire de couvercles d’extrémité en matériau non conducteur, lesquels comprennent des canalisations d’entrée et de sortie d’anolyte et de catholyte qui circulent entre les espaces annulaires des couches concentriques d’électrodes séparées par une membrane échangeuse d’ions. Le produit électrolysé se décharge du compartiment d’anolyte ou de catholyte à la manière d’un métal ou d’un composé métallique. La membrane échangeuse d’ions se situe dans l’espace annulaire entre l’anode et la cathode. Lorsque le cycle de production est terminé, le dispositif s’arrête, l’appareil s’ouvre, ce qui permet à l’électrode de dépôt de métal, la cathode, d’être démontée, retirée de l’endroit et remplacée pour commencer un nouveau cycle de production. Cet appareil peut fonctionner comme une unité indépendante ou constituée d’une série d’appareils connectées en série ou en parallèle.
(ES) La presente invención proporciona un aparato electroquímico tubular de producción de metal mediante electro obtención desde soluciones que los contienen. Dicho aparato está conformado por un tubo de plástico que se extiende entre un par de tapas terminales del mismo material no conductor, en que estas incluyen cañerías de entrada y salida de anolito y catolito que circulan entre los espacios anulares de las capas concéntricas de electrodos separados por una membrana de intercambio ionico. El producto electrolizado se descarga del compartimento de anolito o de catolito a la forma de metal o compuesto metálico. La membrana de intercambio ionico se ubica en el espacio anular entre el anodo y el catodo. Concluido el ciclo de producción, se detiene el dispositivo se abre el aparato, permitiendo que el electrodo de deposito de metal, catodo, pueda ser levantado, retirado del lugar y reemplazado para iniciar un nuevo ciclo productivo. Dicho aparato puede funcionar como una unidad independiente o conformando una serie de aparatos conectados en serie o en paralelo.
