Abstract:
A system and a method using are described for shaping soles and midsolves made of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) using high frequency, and an EVA preform injection-moulded or vulcanised inside a conventional mould with walls coated with an insulating material, the mould being used under pressure and heated to a temperature of 80°C to 120°C for 2 to 4 minutes, the EVA being then kept under pressure and cooled to a temperature from 25°C to 35°, ensuring the dimensional and geometric stability of the EVA article.
