Abstract:
(EN) A rolling mill control system and method includes use of sensors located between rolling mill stands to directly measure metal sheet or plate flatness, thickness profile, position, and the camber of the rolls in the mill. A feedback loop control system adjusts or adapts rolling mill control mechanisms to control the rolling process.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de commande de laminoir qui comprennent l'utilisation de capteurs situés entre des cages de laminoir pour mesurer directement la planéité de tôles ou de plaques, le profil d'épaisseur, la position et le bombement des cylindres dans le laminoir. Un système de commande de boucle de rétroaction ajuste ou adapte des mécanismes de commande de laminoir pour commander le processus de laminage.
