Abstract:
(EN) A method of making a ceramic glaze formulation having an antimicrobial property for use with a ceramic article. The method comprises fritting an antimicrobial formulation in a flux frit, providing least one unfritted antimicrobial component, providing a silver carrier in a glass matrix, and combining the flux frit, the at least one unfritted component, and the silver carrier in the glass matrix to form the ceramic glaze formulation. The silver carrier is combined at an addition rate based on a dry weight basis of the ceramic glaze formulation. A ceramic glaze additive formulation and ceramic glazed article are also provided.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une formulation de glaçure céramique présentant une propriété antimicrobienne destinée à être utilisée avec un article en céramique. Le procédé consiste à fritter une formulation antimicrobienne dans une fritte de flux, à prendre au moins un constituant antimicrobien non fritté, à prendre un support d'argent dans une matrice de verre et à combiner la fritte de flux, ledit au moins un constituant non fritté et le support d'argent dans la matrice de verre pour former la formulation de glaçure céramique. Le support d'argent est combiné à une vitesse d'addition sur base d'une base de poids sec de la formulation de glaçure céramique. L'invention concerne également une formulation d'additif de glaçure céramique et un article glacé céramique.
