Abstract:
(EN) A steerable catheter (100) includes a tubular sheath (102) having a longitudinally-extending lumen formed within a wall thereof and a steering mechanism (120) disposed within the longitudinally-extending lumen. The steering mechanism includes a pull tube (122) and a pull wire (132). At least a segment of the pull wire is coaxially disposed within the pull tube. The pull tube has a distal end attached at a first anchor point to the tubular sheath, and the pull wire has a distal end attached at a second anchor point to the tubular sheath. The second anchor point is distal of the first anchor point. The pull tube and the pull wire are separately tensioned to bend respective regions of the tubular sheath.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un cathéter orientable (100) comprenant une gaine tubulaire (102) ayant une lumière s'étendant longitudinalement formée à l'intérieur de sa paroi et un mécanisme de direction (120) disposé à l'intérieur de la lumière s'étendant longitudinalement. Le mécanisme de direction comprend un tube de traction (122) et un fil de traction (132). Au moins un segment du fil de traction est disposé coaxialement à l'intérieur du tube de traction. Le tube de traction a une extrémité distale fixée à un premier point d'ancrage à la gaine tubulaire, et le fil de traction a une extrémité distale fixée à un second point d'ancrage à la gaine tubulaire. Le second point d'ancrage est distal par rapport au premier point d'ancrage. Le tube de traction et le fil de traction sont mis sous tension séparément pour plier des régions respectives de la gaine tubulaire.
